Q: What are the major challenges in the future in your industry?

Q: How do you keep up with the latest developments in your industry?
The energy industry is in a period of transition and things change daily. I have daily intelligence feeds to maintain a current snapshot of the events that move the energy continuum. The energy industry generates over $100 Billion dollars of revenue daily but there are only approximately 3000 professionals involved in those transactions worldwide. You must maintain relationships with many individuals worldwide to stay ahead of the cutting trends.

Q: What factors led to your biggest success?
By developing a reputation for getting things done. The genesis of the majority of our portfolio was from being invited to participate in various projects worldwide. We were invited to participate in the $20 billion dollar Rovuma LNG project in Mozambique by ExxonMobil in 2018.
Q: What is your favorite project in your business portfolio and why?
Actually, I had 2 favorite projects in my business portfolio. The first one which we had worked. on for 3yrs was a 5.6-million-barrel liquid ethane export project to Egypt. Our firm would have overnight become the 7th largest exporter of liquid ethane in the United States. We would have provided the feedstock to revitalize the polyethylene industry in Egypt. We have recently been informed that Saudi Arabia will be the selected supplier. However, our proposal was technically superior and we feel that the selected project team will fail and the project will be rebidded in a couple of years.
My second favorite project is a 2.5 million ton per year LNG plant in Argentina that we are presently looking for international financing to build with an international group of partners. The total project is estimated at approx. $800M USD and this project will have an estimated $600M free cash flow when completed.

Q: Who are the business leaders that you look up to, and why?
Robert F Smith CEO Vista Partners and the wealthiest minority businessman in America. We have followed his example of maintaining a stealth mode of operation until you can have a competitive edge or advantage.
Q: What business trends have you been following lately? What are your thoughts on these trends?
I have recently enrolled in an Artificial Intelligence Course at Stanford University. AI will need to be integrated in the daily operational protocols of every business organization in order to maintain competitiveness with world markets. You must get ahead of the curve or be left behind.

Q: Have you won any awards? When, and for what? Please elaborate.
My most coveted awards were the two Gold Records I received for 1 million records sold when I was 21 yrs. old. I was at that time the youngest marketing mgr. in the U.S. for a major recording company. Casablanca Records and Filmworks. The two were for Donna Summer “Last Dance” and Parliament-Funkadelic “Flashlight” I was responsible for a 6-state region, and I increased the revenue from $16M to $32M in one year. Our sales were $1 million dollars per employee at the company.
Q: What exciting projects are you working on?
I am presently working on a Content Creation Syndication Project that will be marketed to the Major Streaming Services in collaboration with my former boss at Casablanca Records. He is a former SVP at Sony Music, Columbia Records, and Warner Bros.

Q: The type of networking gatherings that make sense for you and vital to the growth of your company.
International conferences where you can meet with your counterparts face to face. My very first deal I flew to Istanbul to meet the Chairman of an NOC (National Oil Company) to propose a 2.5 Billion export deal to the U.S. Padd 1 Oil refineries. And that was a deal that never could have been negotiated remotely.
Q: What are the places that you’ve enjoyed visiting locally, nationally & globally. Please explain why?
According to TripAdvisor I have visited over 300 cities, on 4 continents or roughly 14% of the world. I love to experience different cultures, cuisine, art, and history. I love France, England, Africa, and the Caribbean and S. America.

Q: What do you do for self-care and how do you recharge? How has that benefited you?
I generally walk about 4 miles per day or 8,000-10,000 steps. During my early morning or late evening walks I listen to podcasts on Artificial Intelligence, Music or World and business News. Sometimes I will have a conference call with my team or colleagues. My routine has lowered my BMI and increased my baseline fitness.
Q: Business secret you’re comfortable sharing with the world?

Q: Can you describe/outline your typical day?
I don’t have a typical day I am up by 6/7am and I work in 12 time zones so sometimes I am up at 3am to have meetings overseas and I finished at noon or 9am to 11pm. “So my team works when the work needs to be done! And Sunday is the first day of the week for me because in the middle east our teams and partners are in the office on Sunday.
Q: What key activities would you recommend leaders should invest their time in?
Maintain a strict schedule of educating yourself. I am a prolific reader and I typically read or listen to 200+ books a year. I generally have 8 -10 books on my tablet and I often re-read books that I feel are important.
Q: What was your first job ever?
Swing Shift at Six Flags over Georgia when I was 16yrs old. I learned how to operate every ride in the park except the Roller Coasters.
