How did you learn about CityBox Daily and the CO CEO Internship Program? I learned about CityBox Daily through a very close family friend. He always knew I wanted to work in fashion, and he provided me with the opportunity to meet Maryan Aiken. I got the chance to see Maryan one day as I was leaving physical therapy. We both decided to grab lunch together, and she explained this amazing opportunity to become a CO CEO College Intern at her business, CityBox Daily. I was over the moon when I left lunch that day because I had felt that I had been accepted into not just a company, but a family.

What encouraged you to join the CO CEO Internship Program? I was eager to join the team because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. As a college student, it sometimes feels as if you do not have more than a surface level understanding of what you are learning. The chance to have a hands on experience here at CityBox Daily is exactly what I was desiring. The chance to join the CO CEO College Internship Program has allowed me to widen my prospective on what myself, a college student, is capable of.
What do you see yourself wanting to learn at CityBox Daily? I see myself wanting to learn more in depth about the business side of the fashion world as well as the marketing side. I hope to understand what all goes into having a successful business, and how different a company focused on fashion operates versus a basic business.

Tell us where do you go to college and your area of study? I go to The University of Alabama. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business.
With your major and now being a CO CEO Intern, where do you see yourself after college? With my major and now becoming Co CEO Intern, after college, I am hoping to have a job at a large corporate fashion firm working as a buyer or purchasing agent. I hope I will be able to move up in that job to learn more about running a business in the fashion industry. My ultimate hope and dream is to start my own luxury athleisure line!

What are you most excited to work on at CityBox Daily and why? I am most excited to be able to get to work on brand advertising and see that come to life at the events. Getting to see all the hard work the whole CityBox team has brought to life will be the best reward.
What’s your ultimate goal while interning for CityBox Daily? My ultimate goal while working at CityBox Daily is to build connections with not only other people throughout the CityBox team, but as well as networking with other companies. I hope that more amazing opportunities spring from this internship that I have been fortunate enough to have been selected for.

What motivates and drives you to continue working so hard? My best friend Madison is the reason for my motivation, and she is why I am able to push myself to be the best version I can possibly be each and every day. I have grown up with her by my side in every aspect of my life. She has been there for me through it all and has never let me lose sight of my goals, no matter how big or small. The strength and confidence needed to fulfill your goals in life, is something that is so important, but it is also something you cannot obtain alone. In order to continue working to be your best, you need someone that believes in you as much as you believe in yourself.

Outside of work and school what do you like to do in your free time? In my free time outside of work and school, I love to stay active while getting to spend time with friends and family. Whether it is going into the cheer gym with my teammates, running with my dad, or going on the lake with my family, I am always wanting to take time out of my day to spend quality time with the people I love and care about most.

You have just started your fall semester as a full time student, cheerleader, sorority member, and now a CO CEO Intern. How do you manage your time effectively? Although I have a lot on my plate, I am able to remain calm and focused because of my biggest support system, my mom and dad. Being at a large University comes with its challenges already but remaining busy has allowed me to keep myself focused and learn time management. I have balanced school, cheer, and friends since 2nd grade, so I have always had to pick and choose what is most important to me and what to make my priority that day. Although I have never balanced these aspects of my life on this big of a scale, cheering at Alabama as well as being a part of a sorority, attending school, and working at my new internship will not be easy, but it will all be worth it. I am so excited for this new chapter in my life and all the amazing opportunities that will come with it.
