ABOUT
Known as the educated drop-out Bob's service record to youth is impressive for such a young man and has become well-known in youth development and executive services. Mackey is the idealist and the founding inventor behind the product, Yono. Clip, which impressed Sharks like Mark Cuban, Owner of the Dallas Mavericks, and Daymond John, Founder of FUBU on the number one business show in America, Shark Tank.
Bob is the Executive Producer, Writer, and Co-Director, of Oscarville The Television Series – Below The Surface. Mackey touts an impressive record of service to youth dating back to 2005 when he worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the Department of Juvenile Justice and The State of Georgia.
For the past 18 years, Mackey has held many leadership positions, including where he has been credited for providing a record amount of academic scholarships to underprivileged youth, increasing graduation rates for students by 87%, decreasing school discipline referrals by 50% and decreasing juvenile delinquency rates by 30%.

Q: What projects are you currently working on?
Current short films or series that I'm currently working on are Oscarville: Below The Surface and UNTO YOU - A Comical Romance About Chance.
Q: What is the timeline release date?
Throughout the next couple of months, heartlandmediafilms.com will release several projects that span a wide area of film/TV. Stay tuned.
Q: What is your involvement with this project?
I'm fairly new to the industry. So, I take parts in ALL areas, from writing, directing, and scouting to casting. My goal was to learn all aspects to develop a much greater understanding of roles and processes to become a great person to lead, learn, and work with as a director.

Q: What made you decide to take on this project?
Every project I develop has an excellent level of meaning and interest, from comedy to historical placement. I write them; we bring them to life.

Q: How did you get started with directing, producing, etc.?
My love for film started as a child. Storytelling was always my absolute favorite hour of school. My passion has grown over time. Being from a small town, opportunities are geared more toward labor than finding that very thing you love. Therefore, I was not selected to do the morning news, only clean up after, which led me to envision myself on sets and behind-the-scenes productions.

Q: What was your first project ever?
My first-ever project was an interview called Helping Our Mother Raise Our Brother. I was on a hunt to encourage boys and moms not to give up on the journey...and each other.

Q: What is a typical day for you?
From my professional career in Youth Development for the past 17 years to my passion for film and cinema to my family and fitness. I find myself enjoying all parts of my day.

My challenge is that I have so many ideas for projects that I've begun giving them away. In addition to learning the business of television. Another challenging part can be assembling a great group of professionals who can work well together. Many people do great work alone but can't work as a team. Filmmaking is a team sport.

I love networking and meeting incredible people. We don't have to be like-minded, just folks who use their minds. I love all of CityBox's events. They are eclectic and full of vibrancy.
