How did you learn about the Co CEO Internship Program at CityBox Media? I found out about the Co CEO Internship Program through a customer of mine at my part time job. He was curious about where I went to school and what I studied. When he found out I was studying in Apparel & Textiles and was extremely interested in a career in the fashion industry, he knew the perfect person. He explained to me that he knew this fabulous woman, Maryan, who was in search of an intern to help her with events and marketing. I was so excited that I finally found a company that truly felt like something I’d be passionate about, so I immediately sent out an email, and that summer I got the internship.

You’ve been with CityBox since 2019 what motivated you to join the Co CEO Internship Program at CityBox Daily? I was really focused on finding an internship where I knew I’d be heavily involved with networking and marketing around the fashion world. I wanted to work at CityBox because of everything it stands for. At CityBox Daily, we love our community and working with local entrepreneurs and small businesses, especially strong business women. That alone is an appeal of itself.

As the Co CEO College Intern at CityBox, what’s been the most memorable project you’ve worked on and why? The most memorable has been The Sole Seduction event at Jimmy Choo that we did last fall. It was truly inspiring getting to help put on an event that was fundraising for Aflac CHOA benefiting Sickle Cell and also showcasing amazing female powerhouses. I love that fashion can be used to help give back and make us feel fabulous at the same time.
What do you enjoy most about being a Co CEO? I love being able to network and meet so many incredible people at our events. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to not only network, but learn more about what goes on in our own community.

What would you tell other aspiring interns about CityBox and its internship program? Not only do you learn so much about digital advertising and brand positioning, but you have so much fun while you do it. The events give you such a fantastic opportunity to meet a diverse group of people and entrepreneurs; the people are truly what makes everything worth it.
You’ve recently achieved President’s List at Kennesaw State University. That’s an incredible undertaking since you’re juggling college, a part time job, and an active internship at CityBox. How do you manage your time effectively? Growing up, I was also heavily involved in school and extracurricular activities, so managing my time has always been important to be able to stay on top of everything. Being on time and organized is also a big pet peeve of mine so that definitely helps, but I think that I always wonder how great all the success will feel in the end when I know I’ve put in the hard work and dedication.

What’s your ultimate vision after college? After I graduate college in the fall, I plan to move to New York City and work in Fashion Marketing and Trend Forecasting. My goal is to be able to work at Vogue or even another fashion brand to market and advertise. Eventually in the future my dream is to design my own shoe line for women.
GETTING PERSONAL
Your favorite hangout? My favorite hangout for brunch or a beverage is Bon Ton Atlanta.
How do you decompress? I love being able to go to a spin class or walk the beltline.
What type of music are you listening to? I pretty much have a diverse taste in music but these are some of my current favorite artists right now: Tove Lo, Lennon Stella, and BENEE
What’s your biggest takeaway in life so far? At the end of the day your friends and family are what truly matters.
