Good Tidings offers a unique assortment of handmade accessories made of exclusive and authentic materials in small quantities to bring sustainable fashion.

What inspired you to start your own business?  I grew up with a passion for authentic beauty. After studying Fashion Management in Paris, I started workingwith a young fashion designer in Antwerp, Belgium. I loved to be submerged in such a creative world, but I moved away from my home country, Belgium with my husband to raise 3 kids. Because I felt the need to be creatively stimulated and I wanted to be an example and inspiration to my children. I started to design my own accessories, inspired by my personal life and cultural travels.

GOOD TIDINGS strives to represent authentic beauty and sustainable fashion, by handcrafting accessories with vintage materials. All of this with the purpose to give back to people in need.

Who are your ideal clients? I love customers who appreciate sustainable fashion, with eye for detail, who treat our accessories like a work of art.

Given the economic conditions, health crisis, and the mandatory temporarily closing of thousands of businesses, how are you coping with the pandemic & how have you shifted to help service your customers? Because of the immense impact of COVID19 on the world, we decided to shift gears and race against the clock to develop face masks to protect ourselves.

They also have a filter pocket at the inside of the mask, to add a filter of choice, for extra protection. Secondly - the looks! We want everyone to be able to #maskinstyle, with gorgeous reusable masks.

Where are they made and by whom? They are handmade in Georgia by women who work from home.

Are they washable? The masks are made of 100% organic pre-washed cotton and are washable.

As a business owner and faced with a sudden calamity, what new revelations did you discover and will likely implement to catastrophic proof your business? I realized how important it is to stay positive, even in difficult times, and be flexible as a business owner. Soon after we realized the impact of Covid-19, we switched gears and tried to adjust to the circumstances as good as possible. As our main goal with Good Tidings has always been to give back, it was the first thing we thought about as well. How can we help out our community? That’s when the mask idea was born: providing a product that people need, yet providing funds and masks for people in need.

When the dust settles, what will be the first thing that you'll do and why? I will go out on the lake to surf with my friends, children and husband. I will take a plane to Belgium to hug my parents, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends.
