Q: Hi Dr. Neacsu, your medical practice is fascinating! These last few months have allowed me to get a glimpse of your remarkable drive, tenacity & resilience, who inspired you and why?
There was not one person who inspired me, but rather the human nature. I learned from my grandmother about honest work and the simplicity of living an honest hardworking life. I learned from my grandfather to love movies, and I learned from my mother about courage and resilience and putting your family first. I learned from my aunt about being spontaneous, silly, and how missing an ingredient for your cake (or life) should not ever stop you from finishing the recipe(there is always a substitute for everything). I learned from teachers, friends, and my patients. I am lucky enough to witness almost every day someone conquering their fear, their pain, their illness, or loss and rise again. ALL sorts of Phoenix birds.
Q: How did you balance being a mother and running your practice? What have you sacrificed?
It is always hard to balance the idea or expectation of being able to do it all as a woman, but the reality is, you cannot. Nobody can and nobody should. And I have seen so many people trying so hard to do so, only to end up mentally and physically exhausted. So, I learned what’s important to me and stuck with managing that.
Sacrifices? Yes, my time, hobbies, and sleep…

I am a people and friends ‘’hoarder’’. I still keep in touch with my middle school friends, and thanks to FB, I found one from primary school.
Beyond everything else in my world and all my achievements, being a mother is still the most important to me.
I dream about being able to go around the world and find out what makes people happy and healthy and learn their secrets.

Q: What fuels your drive?
I am always thinking about the alternative of not getting what I need to keep my brain, soul, and body happy, and that usually gets me in motion. And then if everything else fails, I think about my daughter!

Q: What are the books you've enjoyed and what's the takeaway from those book?
This is the hardest one ever. I can never make up my mind about the best book! Currently I’m reading ‘’Fit Soul- Spiritual Fitness ‘’ by Ben Greenfield, one of the pioneers of biohacking. Greenfield because what I call ‘’soul pain’’ is real and finding one’s purpose, direction, and meaning is all that matters. Maybe also knowing we are not alone.
Q: Apple or Samsung why?
Apple just because I discovered it first. I think Samsung takes better pictures though.

Really getting to know my patients or my clients, so I can always deliver a plan that makes sense for them.
Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
Get your tribe around you, and let them help! Enjoy being imperfect and never stop! Rest if you are tired, but do not stop when it comes to following your dreams.

Q: What type of digital magazine or periodicals do you enjoy?
I really enjoy reading magazines-everything from travel, food (although I am not a talented chef), women’s magazines, and brain and biohacking.
Q: What is one thing you know now about women and work you wish you had known earlier in your career?
We multitask way too much. We overthink way too much. We find it hard to say no or I do not know because the answer is not my expertise (we rather tend to feel bad and not good enough). We definitely think we are supposed to do everything and do it 100% all the time which is nearly impossible and drives ourselves crazy.

I would love to be known as a person who cares and who is able to heal and who raised a daughter who might one day change the world for the better.

Q: Whats next for you?
I would love to expand and create an amazing wellness center here in Atlanta. We have so many things going on for tourists to enjoy, but I think having a place where ancient medicine techniques work with cutting edge science methods, and the future’s biohacking theories would be just what makes it more a vanguard.
