We offer individual and group classes for kids and adults regardless of their initial dancing skills. The company was launched in 2019 by world-class professional dancers, coaches, and choreographers.

ABOUT ATILE ZUKAITE
Atile was born in Lithuania where she started taking dance lessons at the age of 8. When Atile was 14 she got invited to live and represent Spain in the World Championship. This gave her access to the best dance sport training and workshops with the world-renown ballroom dance teachers. By her 18th birthday, she already had won multiple National Champion Titles, and also became the Grand Finalist of European and World Championships.
In 2018 Atile got the high 3rd position in the World Dance Sport ranking out of more than 2000 dance sport couples around the world. As a result, it made a great promotion for her dance couple to participate in different dance projects and show dance events around the world.
Since 2019 Atile lives in the USA where she is an active member of the National Dance Council of America and a certified professional dancer and dance instructor. Atile is successfully managing the rapidly growing Dancing Like A Star Academy since January 2021.

Q: What is your main role at Dancing Like A Star?
I am responsible for connecting all of the various parts of the business and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. I act as a link between our clients and coaches, and I handle the administrative and managerial aspects of the company. Slava, who is our CEO and head coach, is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the business, as well as the quality of our dance programs. While Slava focuses on the big picture, I work to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the business are running efficiently and effectively.

The list is endless as there are numerous benefits to taking dance lessons for both adults and children. But some of the most notable benefits include improved coordination and physical fitness, mental stimulation, increased confidence, and body awareness, increased grace and elegance, increased musicality and discipline, enhanced self-expression, improved memory, and the social aspect of dancing with others. What I think is the most important one – it brings so much joy and happiness to your life, which I think we can never have too much of!

Q: What do you enjoy most about your profession?
Seeing how dancing can change people's lives and touch people's hearts. We started our wheelchair program over a year ago, and it is incredibly rewarding to witness the emotional response of others as they watch our wheelchair dancers perform, it is a reminder of the deep connections that can be made through dance. Another aspect of my profession that I truly love is the opportunity to meet so many diverse and interesting people, each with their own unique stories and backgrounds. Hearing their stories and seeing how dance brings people together is truly heartwarming and reinforces my passion for what I do.
Q: What other profession do you practice?
I am a certified Holistic Health Coach and creator of Atile Wellness Program, as well as a model at Ursula Wiedmann Models.
Q: Tell us about this practice?
My Wellness Program is all about helping women adopt healthy habits and learn to listen to their bodies so they could find a sense of balance in their life. There are so many diets and workout plan nowadays, but we often forget to remember that we are all bio individuals, and it's so important to find what works specifically for you. I use my knowledge and experience to create Dance Sculpt Fitness programs for women in our Dancing Like A Star Academy as well as help prepare our students for competitions while improving their nutrition, increasing energy levels, and making sure they have a good recovery practice.

Q: What time do you get up, and what’s the first thing do you do?
I typically wake up between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, depending on when my alarm (aka my son) wakes me up. The first thing I do after waking up is hydrate by having a glass of water and spend snuggle with my baby boy.

Q: What do you do for self-care and to relax?
Some of my favorite self-care practices include exercise, such as going for long walks in nature or hitting the gym. I also enjoy relaxing with a good book or listening to podcasts. I try to make an effort to schedule regular self-care appointments, like facials and manicures, as these help me feel pampered and rejuvenated. Overall, I believe that it is crucial to take care of ourselves to feel happy and fulfilled, when my glass is full I am my best self that's why I make a conscious effort to incorporate self-care into my routine.

The most important business lesson I have learned is the importance of effective communication and the value of going above and beyond for my clients. Q: How did the idea for your business come about?
It's funny because we never planned to have our dance studio. My husband and I arrived in the US four years ago to work as dance teachers at a local studio, but after less than a year, we were unfortunately let go. We were faced with a difficult decision: find a way to stay in the US within 60 days or return to our home country when our visa expired. We started looking for opportunities in different states, but many of our clients convinced us to stay in Atlanta and even said they would stop dancing if we left. During this uncertain time, we meditated daily and ultimately decided to give it another shot in Atlanta. With hard work day and night, and the help of our amazing lawyers, we were able to establish Dancing Like A Star Academy in just 30 days. I'm very grateful we had so many people supporting us during that difficult time. You never know where life will take you and I am a huge believer in trusting the universe.

Being an entrepreneur has had an impact on my family life. One challenge is finding time to spend with my family, especially because my husband and I work together and we have a young child. It can be easy to get caught up in work mode and not make time for each other as a couple. Even when we do have family time, our minds can still be at work, with conversations about the business slipping into our time together. We have committed this year to set clearer boundaries and separate work and family activities more, but it is a work in progress. However, I am grateful we work together and have shared goals. We know that achieving these goals requires hard work and sacrifice at times. Ultimately we both want the same outcome, and achieving it without each other would be pointless.
